When was the last time you tasted Filipino food? Are you used to the most common Adobo, Pancit, or Balut? If you're craving Filipino dishes with a touch of Kapampangan delicacies, you better visit Apag Marangle.
The place has a Filipino vibe with coconut lights, and bamboo tables and chairs. If you want to experience dining in a nipa hut above the river, I suggest you visit the Bacolor and Gapan branches. I visited the Marquee Mall branch and it has the same vibe except for the actual river.
When we visited the place, we had the Boodle Fight Jr which is good for 2 - 3 persons. They have a big serving so I am guessing it may be good for 3 to 4 people.
We waited for 15 to 20 minutes because they had to literally grill the fish! The boodle fight includes prawns, grilled pork, ensaladang talong (eggplant salad), grilled fish, taba ng tala
ngka rice (rice sautéed in crab fat), and Maruya (banana and jackfruit fritter) for dessert.
If you're up for other Filipino and Kapampangan dishes, here is the menu so you can plan what food to order (prices may change without further notice). The menu is written in Kapampangan - in case you are wondering :)
They are located in Marquee Mall (Marquee Ayala Mall Angeles City, Marquee Mall 2009 Angeles City Central Luzon), Bacolor (Jose Abad Santos Avenue Santa Barbara 2001 Bacolor Pampanga), and Gapan (Gapan-San Fernando-Olongapo Road 2001 Cabetican Central Luzon).
